Mark Marsh
President

Mark Marsh is in his seventh year as a board member of the North Summit Board of Education in Summit County, a small school district serving Coalville and its small surrounding communities.  Currently he serves as the board president. 

Marsh works as an inventory manager and department supervisor for Home Depot in Park City, Utah.  As an active member of his church congregation, he is currently in the Bishopric and between 1981 and 1983; he served a mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Marsh studied animal science and Spanish at Utah State University; he is married with two children and two grandchildren, affectionately known as the McChicks. 

Richard Stowell
Executive Director

Richard Stowell is the current executive director of the Utah School Boards Association.  Prior to becoming executive director he served as the associate executive director for 18 years where he worked in the areas of Risk Management, Finance, Educational Policy and Leadership Development.  He is also involved with the Utah School Boards Association Finance, Insurance, and other Statewide Pools.

Stowell served six years as a school board member, five years as board president and was president of Utah School Boards Association. He has been a youth basketball and baseball coach for ten years, an active leader in Boy Scouts of America for ten years, and an active leader in 4-H for five years. Stowell is a member of the Statistical Business Development Board, a member of Public Education Foundation, and he volunteers in multiple other church and civic positions.
